Tycho Brahe

(1546 - 1601)

This portrait of Tycho Brahe comes from Fredric Ihren's website, in Sweden, dedicated to the famous astronomer.

The artist is H.P. Hansen, and it appeared in the book Tyge Brahe - En historisk fremstilling by F.R. Friis (Copenhagen, 1871).

Several additional portraits of Tycho can be found at the MacTutor History of Mathematics website at the University of St. Andrews in Scotland.
